Most times perfectionism is like a curse, and makes me feel really bad with things that are so unimportant. Rationally I do understand that, but it's really hard to fight something that is so deeply carved in my brain. However, occasionally,  embracing perfectionism can be very satisfying, this was one of the times. Yes it took much more time to finish, yes only I can appreciate the fact that the hole will not be there and yes I wouldn't sleep well if I didn't do this.

Na maioria das vezes o perfeccionismo é como uma maldição que me faz sentir muito mal com coisas que não têm importância nenhuma. Racionalmente compreendo isso, mas é extremamente difícil combater algo que está entalhado de forma tão profunda no meu cérebro. Contudo, ocasionalmente, pode ser muito satisfatório abraçar o dito perfeccionismo, esta foi uma das vezes. Sim demorei muito mais tempo a terminar, sim apenas eu consigo admirar o facto do buraco já não existir e sim não conseguiria dormir descansada se o não tivesse feito.

This month I will share with you something my sister and I are making - a catio (a cat patio).
I live in an apartment which has verandas, small ones, but I am grateful that I have them. In an ideal world I would be able to give a wonderfull garden to F. explore and chase bugs, and take sunbaths... but reality is what it is and I try to do my best with it. So I designed a catio for one of the verandas, in there she will be able to look to the street without the danger of falling, and hopefully enjoy some fresh air and sun.

Este mês vou partilhar algo que a minha irmã e eu estamos a construir - um gátio (pátio para gatos).
Moro num apartamento que felizmente tem varandas, são pequenas, mas estou muito agradecida por tê-las. Num mundo ideal seria capaz de dar à F. um jardim maravilhoso para ela explorar e perseguir insectos e tomar banhos de sol... mas a realidade é o que é e tento fazer o melhor com o que tenho. Assim decidi desenhar um gátio para uma das varandas, nele ela poderá olhar para a rua sem o risco de cair e espero que aí possa aproveitar algum ar fresco e sol.

This was really great, I am very glad I did this. I enjoyed the process very much, the results weren't all good, but some of them were. I never worked with good quality watercolors, I hope I can try it soon, it's a technique I don't know so I never invested in good material.

Gostei muito do processo, os resultados não foram todos bons, mas algumas saíram bem. Ainda bem que fiz isto. Nunca trabalhei com aguarelas de boa qualidade, espero puder experimentar em breve, como é uma técnica que não sei usar, nunca investi em bom material.
